These are all palette knife studies for bigger paintings. I often use my sketchbooks to relocate myself and evolve, I want to explore what new marks and techniques I might be able to use within future paintings.

I’m often inspired by textures for their own sake; whether that’s how different substances interact with water (see the blue pages) or the erosion of time written into rocks and walls.
